The 9th edition of the Sports Celebrities Festival benefiting Special Olympics Québec (SOQ) will take place on Thursday, May 18, 2006.
Presided over by Ms. Marie-José Nadeau, executive vice-president – Corporate Affairs and general secretary of Hydro-Québec, the 2006 Sports Celebrities Festival will give the highest bidders the chance to purchase one-of-a-kind lots at its silent and live auctions. It will also be an opportunity to enjoy a fine meal with colleagues and personalities from the world of entertainment, sports and business. Truly an evening to look forward to!
The Sports Celebrities Festival, SOQ’s main source of financing, has raised over $4 million net since its inception. The sums raised allow Special Olympics Québec to pursue its mission and give over 3,600 special athletes access to specialized training programs and adapted competitions designed for the well-being and the integration into society of people with an intellectual disability.
